Julia creates music as a form of communication and prayer.

Her style falls somewhere within ambient, meditation, neoclassical and new-age genres.
She was raised by an opera singer and has sung in choirs throughout life, beginning with the New England Conservatory Children's Chorus and more recently the Asheville Symphony Chorus and Chamber Chorus. Growing up she was introduced primarily to opera, classical and Celtic music. From this foundation, melodies and harmonies come naturally, and many of the harmonies you hear are composed via improvisation.

Julia records solo and as a part of Altiori, working alongside her lyricist/ composer/producer husband Matthew Gabriel Romero.
