Julia creates music as a form of communication and prayer; a path towards freedom and belonging.
Her style falls within ambient, meditation, neoclassical and new-age genres.
She was raised by a classically trained opera singer and has sung in choirs throughout life, beginning with the New England Conservatory Children's Chorus and more recently the Asheville Symphony Chorus and Chamber Chorus before honing a focus on original music in 2018. Growing up she was introduced primarily to opera, classical and Celtic music and is influenced by artists such as Enya, Loreena Mckennitt and Lisa Gerrard. Her composition process is akin to that of her abstract oil landscapes, blending and layering harmonies in the moment. 

Julia records solo and as a part of Altiori, working alongside her lyricist/instrumentalist/composer/producer husband Matthew Gabriel Romero.
