Julia Loretta Romero grew up outside of Boston, where she experienced a childhood rich with exposure to the arts and encouragement to create.

She remembers overhearing piano and voice lessons regularly taking place in the living room, and her Mother's detailed pastel portraits sitting on the easel.

She has taken solace in creativity throughout life, beginning with oil painting, singing and piano lessons as a girl.

She first explored genuine expression as a visual artist in high school, through close attention to dreams, energy and connection with nature, and received her BFA from Green Mountain College in 2011.

She began creating and recording original music in 2018 and is interested in merging the neoclassical and ambient genres to create modern choral music, layering harmonies for an experience both grounding and ethereal.

Julia paints and records from a home studio in the Appalachian Mountains north of Asheville, NC.
